British toy car brand Playforever has launched the new UFO Colomba to pay tribute to the “creative” of the top Italian car manufacturers in the 1970s (especially Lamborghini).
Unlike the emphasis on body curves of supercars in the 1960s, the Italian concept car in the 1970s is more bold and forward-looking. “These sci-fi concept cars not only show innovation and boldness in appearance, but also extend to every angle and edge of the body under a wedge-shaped profile. Their roof height is lowered to the same height as the window, making you feel like you are sitting. Like on the floor, the boundary between the windshield and the hood cannot be distinguished. ”—UFO Colomba is a tribute to this breakthrough design philosophy. It continued the streamlined aesthetics of the prototype car at that time, with extended body, low posture and aerodynamic profile. The model is 176mm long, 92mm wide and 58mm high, and is made of high-quality ABS plastic. Its soft-rolled rubber tires provide a smooth sense of motion, while the UV-resistant high-gloss clear coating effectively prevents scratches and fading.
“It's hard to underestimate the impact of these concept cars on pop culture, not only the appearance of the car, but also science fiction movies, fighters, speedboats and many other recognizable forms in our lives.” UFO Colomba is now officially on sale, priced at $55.
