Since its launch in 2014, KEEN's UNEEK series has successfully subverted the traditional design of sandals with the innovative structure of “Two Cord And One Sole” and has quickly become a hot item in the outdoor and fashion fields. The series is designed with a simple but efficient design concept. Through the combination of shoe rope and sole, it perfectly adapts to different foot shapes and meets outdoor activities. At the same time, the UNEEK series has also launched co-branded versions with brands such as ATMOS, BEAMS, Engineered Garments, and extended a variety of variation designs, such as UNEEK SLIDE, UNEEK O3 and UNEEK NXIS, making it one of KEEN's most representative series.
UNEEK’s design inspiration dates back to 2013, and was proposed by KEEN’s chief creative director Rory Furest Jr., the idea of “What should a pair of shoes that fit all the feet?” He replaced the traditional 2D cut with knot structure to create a multi-directional spatial covering design prototype. Although it encountered challenges due to the complex production process, it was finally successfully mass-produced in 2014.
Entering 2025, KEEN announced the launch of the new upgraded version of UNEEK WK. The new work is based on the classic TWO-CORD structure and adds KEEN.CURVE™ patented arc sole technology to bring unprecedented comfort and stability. The thickened High-Energy Midsole provides high rebound and pushing performance, while the Multi-Surface Outsole has three-dimensional grip patterns that enhance anti-slip and stability. The upper structure is made of Microfiber Upper made of recycled materials and is paired with adjustable elastic rope buckles to further enhance the fit and ventilation of the shoe.
KEEN's new UNEEK WK sandals will be officially launched at the Causeway Bay Shopping Store at 432Hz and online stores on March 8, 2025. Interested friends should pay close attention.
