The most powerful Mac ever! Apple officially launches new Mac Studio

Apple today launched the new Mac Studio, the most powerful Mac ever, and is equipped with the M4 Max and the new M3 Ultra. This ultimate professional desktop computer that can be placed directly on the desktop now offers breakthrough professional performance through Thunderbolt 5's diverse connectivity features and new features in a sophisticated and quiet design. Mac Studio has a powerful CPU, Apple's advanced drawing processing architecture, higher unified memory capacity, ultra-fast SSD storage devices, and faster and more efficient neural network engines to handle the most complex workloads. Compared with the previous generation, the performance has been greatly improved, and it is a major upgrade for users of older Macs.

With the world's fastest CPU core, the M4 Max delivers extraordinary single-execution CPU performance and excellent multi-execution CPU performance for complex workloads. Equipped with up to 16 core CPUs, up to 40 core GPUs, a unified memory bandwidth of more than 0.5TB per second, and a neural network engine that is more than 3 times faster than the M1 Max, the Mac Studio equipped with M4 Max can run device-side AI models at extremely fast speeds. Mac Studio equipped with M4 Max can reach up to 3.5 times faster than Mac Studio equipped with M1 Max, and up to 6.1 times faster than the most powerful Intel 27-inch iMac.

GPUs in M4 Max also bring Apple's advanced drawing processing architecture to Mac Studio for the first time, including “dynamic cache”, “hard-accelerated grid coloring technology” and “second-generation ray tracing engine”, which can provide a smoother content creation and gaming experience. The Mac Studio equipped with M4 Max is equipped with a minimum of 36GB unified memory and can support up to 128GB, so users can quickly and accurately organize thousands of images and create complex arrangements with hundreds of audio tracks, plug-ins and virtual instruments to handle all tasks instantly. The M4 Max has a powerful “media engine” equipped with two ProRes accelerators, and Mac Studio is very effective for audio and video workers who can easily handle multi-channel 4K ProRes videos.

Mac Studio with M3 Ultra brings complex workflows to a whole new level. Compared with models equipped with M4 Max, the high number of cores of CPU and GPU and a huge unified memory have increased performance by nearly 2 times.2 Mac Studio equipped with M3 Ultra can reach up to 2.6 times faster than Mac Studio equipped with M1 Ultra, and 6.4 times faster than Mac Pro with 16-core Intel Xeon W. With the new M3 Ultra, Mac Studio is equipped with up to 32 cores of CPU, including 24 performance cores, 50% more than the previous Ultra chips, making it the model with the most CPU cores in Mac. GPUs with up to 80 cores are more than all Apple chips in history; powerful 32-core neural network engines that support device-side AI and machine learning (ML); and a high-bandwidth memory architecture with 800GB per second unified memory bandwidth.

The Mac Studio equipped with M3 Ultra is equipped with a minimum of 96GB of unified memory, up to 512GB (the most unified memory on personal computers in history), and an ultra-fast SSD storage device up to 16TB, so content and information can be stored locally. This is enough to store over 12 hours of 8K ProRes videos. Advanced drawing processing architecture brings “dynamic cache”, “hard-accelerated grid coloring” and “ray tracing” technologies, so the drawing workflows such as the new generation of GPU compute and painter can be up to 2.6 times faster than Mac Studio equipped with M1 Ultra.

Apple Mac Studio is priced from NT$67,900/HK$15,999, and can be pre-ordered from Hong Kong from now on, and will be available on March 12, and orders will be available in Taiwan in the future.
