Bode officially took root in Paris! Designer Emily Adams Bode Aujla opens its first flagship store outside the United States in rue de Valois, Paris, France. The 2,500-square-foot space used to be a restaurant, now overlooks the Ministry of Culture and is adjacent to the Rick Owens Paris flagship store. Bode currently has four stores in New York and a retail store in Los Angeles. She said that Paris has become the “natural next step” in brand expansion.
Unlike New York stores based on product categories (men's clothing, women's clothing, children's clothing), this time the Paris flagship store brings all series together. Bode, who has won the awards of LVMH Prize and two CFDA Best Men's Clothing Designer, explained: “When we enter a brand new market, we hope to present all products in a unified way and make the store a core base for the brand.”
With the opening of the Paris flagship store, Bode has officially further expanded its international territory, allowing the brand's unique aesthetic to shine in the European market.

Bode Paris flagship store is designed by Aaron Aujla, husband of brand founder Emily Adams Bode Aujla, who also runs his own design studio, Green River Project. The interior decoration of the store is inspired by the couple's love for “fly fishing”. A bamboo fishing rod is hung above the entrance to welcome every visitor, while the walls of the store are decorated with fishing bait, cleverly integrating this personal interest into the atmosphere of the space.
The store furniture also carries Bode's brand aesthetics, with seats made of the same French silk fabric as the brand's shirts, while the ceiling is covered with the same British wax cotton cloth as the Bode's classic jacket, and the details are everywhere echoing the brand's iconic design elements.
Speaking of the brand's international expansion, Bode Aujla said: “By the sales performance of our overseas retail partners, we can confirm that the brand has enough attention in the international market. I always believe in the value of physical retail, which can bring a unique experience to the brand. The most important thing to interpret the brand's spirit is our physical stores – from the visual, smell, decoration, display, to the wear of the store staff, every detail can convey Bode's story.”
