Gucci 2025 latest autumn and winter men's and women's fashion show officially landed in Milan Fashion Week

After parting ways with creative director Sabato De Sarno, Gucci's latest debut, the 2025 Autumn and Winter Men's and Women's Fashion Show, officially debuted at Milan Fashion Week.

Gucci, as an eternal intertwined craftsmanship, taste and culture, this year celebrates its fiftieth anniversary—the duality of men's and women's clothing show is integrated here. This series can be regarded as the cornerstone of Gucci, telling the core spirit and beliefs of the brand. Whether past, present or future, these elements are profound to many people and are interpreted and continued in their own ways.

The unique charm of the Italian style, with the Italian text “sprezzatura” as the core – the imperfection in perfection, the carefully crafted casualness – this way of life and dressing has been the soul of Gucci aesthetics from the beginning, and it is presented throughout the entire series. Since its inception, Gucci's world has always been as vast as a movie. The items designed for men and women are both style and luxury, full of personality and flexible matching, and here they are once again gathered.

Models walk along the intertwined dark green Interlocking G-print stretch stand, a symbol of brand founder Guccio Gucci, and this year celebrates its fiftieth anniversary—the duality of men's and women's clothing show is integrated into one. Like double helix, yin and yang, or infinite symbols, they define each other. Here, rigorous tailoring and playfulness coexist, and men's clothing materials run through the entire series and integrate into the women's clothing world. The slim lines of the suit are balanced by the looming appearance of the skin, the jumping color or the subversion of silk—the classic British men’s tweed pattern is reflected in the silky silk shirt and top. The hard and soft dialogue continues in the grinding mohair shirts, mother-of-pearl leather, coated wool and blended tweed—the experimental nature of the material is everywhere, embracing classics and subversives. Gradient tones of green, gray, lilac and brown harmoniously unify men's and women's clothing.

In terms of outline, the collection incorporates inspiration from multiple eras, from the late 1960s—the birth of Gucci clothing—to the present day. However, from minimalism in the mid-1990s to the extreme complexity of recent times, Gucci's iconic elements meet here to create new meanings. The most prominent one is the Horsebit horse-team chain, which is perhaps the most recognizable sign of Gucci. This year, it also ushered in an important milestone: the 70th anniversary of the Horsebit 1955 package. From oversized sizes to mini models, horse-line chains are everywhere, appearing in jewellery in artistic form, such as the waist chain of a deep V backless skirt, or most commonly found in leather products. From the classic Horsebit 1955 bag, reinterpreted with a new super soft structure, to the giant horse tie handles of the new lazy shoulder bag, to the exquisite luxury design of the new Gucci Siena bag, with a half horse tie buckle. In works with the strongest sense of home life, horse tie chains can also be seen embroidered on slippers.

The show music was created by award-winning composer and conductor Justin Hurwitz and performed by a live band. Hurwitz has won two Oscars for his musical work, this time he created exclusive movements for the show, emphasizing a cinematic narrative and amplifying emotional tension to celebrate the perfect blend of men's and women's clothing styles.
